Seventy Years of Schmeier A long tradition of cutting-edgetechnology 2015 Over the years, its ever-growing expertise has made Schmeier the trusted brand for suppliers of all leading automotive and machine manufacturers. 2013 Creating space for success: relocation to the new company building. 2012 Construction works for the new on-site production shopstart. 2011 The distribution network in Asia (China, Korea, India)is extended. 2010 Schmeier starts producing vitrified bonded diamond grinding and honing tools. 2008 As the company keeps growing, a new staff parking area is needed. 2004 The ERP system is put into operation. 2003 Third generation: Alfons Schmeier’s grand-daughter Ulrike Schmitt (nicknamed Uli) takes over. 2000 Schmeier is certified according to DIN ISO 9001 - 2000. 1985 - 1992 The company is refurbished and expanded over the years. Schmeier starts manufacturing: • CBN grinding tools • honing and finishing tools 1983 Second generation: daughter Christa Schmitt (neeSchmeier) and her husband Klaus take over the company. 1949 bis 1982 The company premises are continuously extended. Whenever the financial situation allows, the Schmeiers invest in their company.
